Itinerary:
We begin our New York City QuiltAway Program with your arrival at our centrally located first-class hotel. We will gather at 3pm in the lobby of the hotel and begin a leisurely walking tour, seeing Times Square and Theater District through a quilter’s eye. We will return back to our hotel to relax before enjoying a delicious “Welcome Dinner” at a nearby Italian restaurant. The remainder of your evening is at your leisure. D
Friday, November 12thThis morning after breakfast we will enjoy a Panoramic Tour of the Big Apple using the Gray line Hop-on Hop-off bus pass that we have provided for you. There will be time for lunch on your own. Following lunch we will enjoy shopping in the “Garment District” for fabric, ribbon, buttons, and beads. You will think you have died and went to quilting heaven. The Garment District is located between 5th & 9th Avenues from 34th Street to 42nd Street. It has been known since the early 20th century as the center for fashion design and manufacturing in the United States. Later this afternoon we will visit The City Quilter before returning to our hotel. We will enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant. B, D
Saturday, November 13thThis morning is free time for you to enjoy at your leisure. You can visit The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island or even Ground Zero if you would like. This afternoon we will all enjoy the excitement of seeing a Broadway Play. Tonight, we will enjoy our Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant. B, D
Sunday, November 14thThis morning we have arranged for late check-out of your hotel. A reprsentative will be available this morning for any questions. B
