IRELAND COUNTDOWN!!

I have just learned that there are under a dozen spaces left now for our Ireland tour this Fall. Don’t miss out on this really wonderful tour with quilt educator and funny lady-Grannie Suzanne!

It’s a nice relaxing tour, not too heavy with a lot of walking from place to place. Great sightseeing, shopping, quilt meetings with some Irish quilting ladies and fantastic hotels.

Get your space held before you miss out on the Irish stew!

RICKY TIMS TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT

OK quilters, you’ve waited long enough. The information is now all finalized for Ricky Tims Exotic Adventure to South America. We had thirty people on a waitlist, who have all been contacted, and five signed up today already!!!

We are only taking 40 people on this once in a lifetime adventure to the Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu and the Amazon Rainforest. It is absolutely extraordinary. Ricky is extraordinary. And I can tell you, you’re gonna feel extraordinary. So call our office and ask for a day to day itinerary to be sent to you before the space is gone!

On your mark, get set, GO!!!

I’M BAAAAAAACCCCKKKKKK! (well for a little while anyway)

If you have called our office in the past six weeks, it is unlikely, well actually impossible that you spoke to me, as I have been on a whirlwind of quilting cruises sinces Jan 9th! (yes my Christmas tree and decorations are still up!)

We had some great times on our Ice House Quilt Shop cruise on the beautiful Mariner of the Seas, met some great people on our AQS Quilt cruise, had a fun time with Pat Sloan and Joan Shay on our quilting cruise to the Southern Caribbean and just finished with 150 quilters who were onboard our South East Quilters cruise.

In between all this, I escorted two hundred hair dressers on a cruise for our Are We Hair Yet company. One right after the other, and now I’m home until, gulp Saturday-heading back to the Caribbean for McCalls Quilting Magazine cruise.

How do I do it you ask? Well if the truth be told…………I have no life! :)
Ok, I admit I have a life people think is glamorous, especially if you live in a cold winter climate and you hear me talking about all these Caribbean cruises. It’s an interesting life, that’s for sure, but it’s more work than you can possibly imagine.

I am a single person, and that has it’s advantages to doing this kind of work-I never have to hear “Honey you’re never home!” or “You never spend any time with me!” YUCK, I never want to hear any of these things, so you can be sure I am very happy being single.

Anyway, just wanted to check in and tell you we have a lot, and I do mean a lot of exciting cruises and tours on our program for the next two years. We are adding the pricing and itinerary daily, so be sure you are checking back to see which trips are finalized and confirmed.

If there is any trip that is not finalized yet, because it’s too early to get the airfare, by all means, contact our office and have your name put on the waiting list. You’ll be the first to receive the information before it is made available to the rest of the world.

Have a great day, can you believe Easter is just around the corner?!!

OUR QUILTING CRUISES

For years now Sew Many Places has been providing quilting cruises to the quilting industry. Today I just got off a ship and tomorrow I join another one, and by the end of February, I will have hosted six cruises with over 500 quilters in two months!

It’s funny as I go from one cruise to the next, from one ship to the next and from one cruise line to the next, I realize it’s the quilters themselves that make the cruise what it is.

Some of the quilters are very experienced and some are novice quilters just learning about the industry and about using a sewing machine. I’ve had some quilters who can finish a project in one day, and some who have to take it home at the end of the week because it’s too difficult. I have cruised with people who have never cruised before and some who join us on every cruise we plan. I have hugged ladies who have made our quilting cruises the first trip they’ve taken since their husbands died and wanted to be in an environment of loving, supportive people.

And that is it really, the one constant throughout all our cruises, is the support that each quilters gives to each other. A pat on the back for a job well done, or taking a moment to help someone who’s eyes aren’t as good as they once were. We have quilters in motorized wheelchairs and young quilters who literally jog into class straight from the walking track. There is that common thread that they all share, a love for quilting and a love for travel.

It’s a great experience these quilting cruises, and I am reminded on a weekly basis how special all of you are. A quilting cruise gives us an opportunity to really get to know each other, and I am so happy to be part of this ever growing industry.

Just thought I’d share some of this with you, especially if you’ve been thinking about going on one of our quilting cruises. Three down, three more to go, and I’m loving them all!

Have a great quilting Saturday!
