OOGA CHAKA OOGA OOGA……..

“In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight. In the jungle, the peaceful jungle, the lion sleeps tonight.” Ok, it’s African Safari time, and we have just completed the day to day intinerary for our quilting adventure in Kenya with Kaye England and myself.

If there ever was a quilting ADVENTURE, this is it!! We will be posting the itinerary on our website today, and anyone who is interested, please don’t wait too long to sign up. We are only taking 40 people with us on this tour, and it will be based on first come, first served.

Kaye as many of you may know, has written many books, and we will be using her book, “Quilt Inspirations from Africa” as our “textbook” for this tour. It is unbelievable the exciting things we will be doing on this trip.

I promise you, if ever there was an extraordinary experience, it is an African Safari. I’ve been on one before, so I am telling you this from what I personally know. It is as wonderful and as exciting as you have ever dreamed it might be. It’s a once in a life time tour, no question about it!

Hope you can join us!

TUSCANY ENCORE!!

My dear Quilting friends:

Because of all the interest we have had for Tuscany, we have now added an encore tour. Here are the details:

Departure is this May 24th and returning June 2nd. We are staying at a wonderful 4-star hotel called the Tuscany Inn in the resort town of Monticatini Terme, and this will be our home for the next eight nights. We will participate on a Tuscan Cooking tour and learn to make homemade pasta, crostini, limoncello, and sauces from an Italian Grandpa chef, and visit the towns of San Gimignano, Siena, Greve, Florence, Lucca, and visit two really wonderful wineries, one in the country in Tuscany and the other is a castle in the Chianti Region. Our tour will take us to one of the most photgraphed areas of Italy, the Cinque Terre-five incredibly charming villages along the coast.

We’ll finish our tour with an extraordinary dinner at the Villa Pasquini, located in the hills overlooking the town of Montecatini Terme.

This Tuscany adventure is so much more than what I have written here. For more information, please call our office or email me for a copy of the itinerary. We’ll be posting this information in a week or so, but for sure the tour will sell out like all our tours do.

It’s quilters traveling together and having fun in a very special place. Don’t miss out!!!
