CHINA – ROUND TWO!
Hello Quilters!
Greetings from Beijing China. I am writing as we begin our McCalls Quilting Magazine China Adventure with 78 quilters. We flew from San Francisco two days ago, arrived at the airport in Beijing non stop in the afternoon the following day (11-hour time difference) and we are now settled in our really fantastic hotel, the Penisula Palace Hotel.
Today, we are going to visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and then shop in the afternoon for bargains. (A lot of our ladies are starting their Christmas shopping here)
We will try the famous Peking Duck tonight for dinner.
Kaye England is our special guest on this trip, and both she and Beth Hayes were with the group last year.
By the way, for those of you who want to do this trip next year, Pat Sloan is taking only 45 people next year in November, so be sure you look at the itinerary on this website and call our office to sign up. It’s a quilters trip of a lifetime!
Also, watch for some really inexpensive China trips we are putting together for quilters in the upcoming months. You’ll be amazed at the prices!!!
Jim
